IDA International Design Awards 5PMFM is a vibrant two-day city pop music festival set to grace New York City in February 2021. Emerging from the stillness of 2020, it’s here to bring a breath of warm summer air, infusing the city with feelings of freedom and escape.

City pop, a genre born in Japan during the '70s, found its zenith in the '80s, blending funk, jazz, disco, and synth-pop under Western influences. Rooted in an era of economic resurgence, it evokes a romanticized urban renaissance.
